Pastor and Founder Elder Author Lee Manning, Sr.

Elder Author Lee Manning, Sr. was born January 31, 1940, the first of nine children to Willie Manning, Sr. And Annie Versie Clerk-Manning, grandson of Carley Collins in Pickens, MS.
Author Lee as he was called by most family members, received his basic education in Madison County schools. The family was mostly agricultural as were most black families in rural Mississippi during this time.

In 1957 at the age of 17, Author Lee left Mississippi for Florida, where he heard money grew on trees, not knowing that it had to be picked in the form of oranges and grapefruit first. Upon arriving in Florida and settling in Indian River County, he joined New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church and became a member of the choir and later met his wife to be Idonia Brown, and were married October 13, 1960. To this union 5 children were born 1 son and 4 daughters. And 12 grandchildren.

Later, he joined the Apostolic Church of Jesus, where he served as Deacon, before being called to the Ministry in 1973. In 1985 he founded Bethlehem Temple, Inc.(apostolic faith) he also received theological training and teaching under the leadership bishop Dr. Thomas and Dr.B brown of faith Pentecostal House of God He has also hosted a radio ministry for the past 35 years, which at times was able to be heard in several countries via satellite
radio. He has also be featured on Trinity Broadcasting Network.

A member of the pastor association of Indian River County and Chapman,where we serve our community in various capacities striving to make a difference.

In 1999, he was blessed to have visited the Holy Land in Israel, one the highlights of this trip was The upper room experience and  being baptized in the Jordan River as well as assisting in the baptizing of several others at this time..
